Meet Your Hosts

Who lives at Inveraray Farm?

Inveraray Farm has been the Spillane family home for half a century and they have been welcoming guests through its doors for almost as long. Noel and Eileen Spillane were both teachers at local schools. They decided to start offering B&B accommodation during their long summer break. Along with their family of five, the business, as well as the house itself, grew. When Eileen and Noel retired from teaching they were able to focus on providing guest accommodation full time. They now live in their new home right next door to Inverarary Farm.

Eileen and Noel’s son Fergal, and his partner, Jennifer, now live in the main house. They returned from Australia in 2018 with their three young children and help with the day to day running of the B&B alongside Noel and Eileen.

And then there are all the animals. We have Louie the Corgi, Tipsy, Frank and Beans the cats, the two heifers, Pat and Parsley and their calves, Chocco, Jackie and Zombie.

What our guests have to say:

A lovely Irish welcome. Eileen Spillane and her staff were so efficient and pleasant, always smiling and nothing was too much trouble. A really happy group of people.

When our car malfunctioned and our English mobile phone would not connect to our rescue number, Eileen and her husband were angels of mercy and helped us through, even though they had their own work to do. The use of their sitting room and the extra coffee Eileen provided were a real comfort in our hour of need. Well two hours really as that was how long we had to wait for the mechanic.
