Looking for places to stay in Kerry?
When it comes to finding your ideal location you won't get better than Beaufort. BOOK YOUR ROOMWhen it comes to perfect places to stay in Kerry Beaufort has it all. The south and east of the parish are a part Killarney National Park and the south west is part of the Reeks District which, in 2019, was listed by Rough Guides as one of the top six must-visit places in the world. This pretty farming community is home to the Gap of Dunloe, The Macgillycuddy Reeks (which includes Irelands highest mountain, Carrauntoohil) and Tomies Wood. It’s a hiker’s heaven.
But it’s not just about what’s directly on our doorstep…
It’s the ideal spot for exploring the Inveragh Peninsula.
Beaufort is only 10km from the towns of Killarney and Killorglin and a 30 minute drive from Kerry’s county town, Tralee. Being on the famous Ring of Kerry means you can easily visit Valentia Island, the Kerry Cliffs, the Skellig Coast and the towns of Glenbeigh, Cahersiveen, Waterville, Sneem and Kenmare during your stay. If you don’t want to complete the full route you can go cross country to Glencar via the Ballaghasheen pass before heading back to Beaufort.
You can discover the delights of the Dingle Peninsula.
We’re also very close to the Dingle Peninsula. Inch beach is only 30 minutes away from our bed and breakfast. The harbour town of Dingle is also just an hour away. It’s a vibrant town with plenty of shops, restaurants and pubs (where you’ll often hear traditional music being played).
Notable highlights on the peninsula include Slea Head, the Connor Pass and Glentenassig so try and include those in your itinerary if you can.
Not forgetting North Kerry and wonderful West Cork.
Our mid-Kerry position makes it easier for you to visit the North of Kerry which includes the towns of Listowel, famous for it’s literary festival and Ballybunion, famous for its beautiful beach and prestigious golf courses. You should also visit West Cork via the Healy Pass. Glengarriff, Garinish Island and Bantry are all easy to visit on a day trip.
Beaufort is an ideal spot for families, people looking for an active, outdoors holiday and anyone who enjoys beautiful scenery.
There are three pubs within walking distance of our B&B as well as several cafes and restaurants that are just a few minutes drive away. Sure, what more could you want? It really is the perfect place to stay in the Kingdom.
