Welcome to our home.
We hope you enjoy your stay with us. Please take the time to read the following information.
Breakfast:
Breakfast is served between 0800 and 0930. There is an early sitting around 0800 and a later sitting around 0900. We try to stagger the breakfast to ensure the breakfast room is never too busy. If you want to change your breakfast time from the previous morning that is fine but please let us know the night before. If have any special dietary needs please tell us in advance.
Menu
Tea / coffee, orange juice and toast / soda bread
choice of:
Cereal / porridge / fresh fruit / yoghurt
Pancakes (served with fruit or bacon / sausage)
Full Irish breakfast (fried egg, bacon, sausage and tomato)
Vegetarian Irish (egg, tomato, mushrooms and baked beans)
Rooms:
In your rooms there are towels, handwash, spare toilet rolls and shower gel. Some items may be stored in the wardrobes. If you need any extra, or if you require other toiletries such as shampoo and conditioner please let us know.
You can control the temperature in your room using the radiator. To turn it on or off please turn the valve with the red dot.
All rooms have both fans and blankets (these may be in the wardrobes). Electric blankets are available for double / queen beds and hot water bottles are available for single beds.
If you leave your bathroom window open at night please make sure you turn the light off. Otherwise, you’ll attract flies and other insects into your room.
We do not service the rooms unless requested. Please let us know if you need fresh towels or anything else for your room before you head out for the day.
Quiet hours and late access:
We believe everyone deserves a peaceful night sleep. Therefore we kindly ask you to keep noise levels low between 2200 (2300 in the summer months) and 0800.
If you are planning on going out in the evening and you use the main door to access the house, please talk to us before you go. We usually lock the main door around 2300 when we go to bed.
Tearooms and facilites:
Please do not eat meals/takeaways in your room. There are several tea areas around the house where you can help yourself to tea, coffee and milk or make use of the fridges. The two larger tea rooms have a microwave, crockery and cutlery. One also has a dining table and bench where you can eat.
If you need anything, including fresh milk, please let us know.
Play areas:
Please enjoy our outdoor spaces. Children are welcome to play in the garden but please supervise them. We accept no responsibility for any injury caused while playing. There is a live electric fence in the garden to keep the cattle out. Please don’t allow your child to go into the cow field.
We have playroom which is usually open between 0800 and 2100. If your child wakes early feel free to borrow a few quiet toys or books the evening before for use in your room.
Animals:
Our pets are all very friendly but please do not allow them in your bedroom as other guests may have allergies. Our cows are not domesticated and may be protective of their calves. Please do not cross the electric fence to get close to them.

Payment and checkout:
To check the status of your payment, or to provide us with a voucher, please see us the evening before you leave. We prefer cash for direct bookings where possible. The closest ATM is at the Inver Petrol Station on the Killarney side of Fossa (a 7 minute drive). We accept card payments but not AMEX.
Checkout is by 1100 unless otherwise agreed. Please remember to leave your key.
In the event you leave something behind you we will happily package it up. You can then arrange for a courier to collect.
Getting in touch with us:
We are always here to help make your stay as pleasant as possible. If you need us for anything you’ll usually find one of us in the sitting room, kitchen or office (all located near the main entrance).
Otherwise you can message or call us on our mobiles (we are both on WhatsApp). Please call before 2200 for non-emergencies. If it is an emergency call (don’t message us) at anytime. To protect our sleep we have sleep-mode on our phones at night but if you call twice in quick succession this will be deactivated.
